Frequently Asked Questions

Cremations

  • Will my pet be cremated on its own?

An individual cremation is quite simply when your pet is cremated on its own in a single compartment, so you can be assured you will receive only your pet’s ashes. We are members of the Association of Private Pet Cemeteries and Crematoria and follow its Code of Practice, which sets high standards.

  • What happens if I choose not to have an individual cremation?

Your pet will be cremated with other pets and buried in our Pets Garden of Remembrance. Plaques can be purchased in memory of your pet.

  • Can I watch the cremation?

At this time, because of the location of our cremators, and safety to the public, we cannot provide this service. But we are very happy to offer video and photographs to reassure you of your pet’s cremation.

  • Do you cremate horses?

We do not provide this service, as we only cremate domestic pets.

  • How quickly will my pet's ashes be returned?

We aim to return your pet’s ashes as soon as we can to your Veterinary Practice on the days we are in the area, or alternatively ashes can be collected from our office by arrangement.
